Our Trainers

Our Team Have Extensive Resumes and Experience

Our Day Farm is home to the Jayne family — Alex, Maggie, Charlie, and Haylie, which comprises our team of professional riders and trainers. Each member of the family shares an incredible foundation as skilled horsemen while also providing a unique background and experiences. No matter the goal, we have the knowledge and ability to help achieve them.

Training

Our Program is Proven.

We are wholly committed to the development of our horses and riders. No two horses or riders are the same — we carefully tailor our program to fit the needs of each individual. We pride ourselves on patience — our clients benefit from a goal-oriented approach that focuses not only on where they’re currently at with their horses, but also where they’re going long-term and what it’ll take to get there.

Our team will provide a well-rounded education that can take a rider to the top of any division. Between Alex's 40+ years of experience, Maggie and Haylie's extensive riding and training record, and Charlie’s international experience, Our Day has created a program that is in a league of its own.

Horse Care

Our Horses are Among the Best Cared for in the World.

Knowledge is not understanding, and we at Our Day have a core understanding of horse care. No two horses are the same, which is why we do not treat them like they are — the program of every horse in our care is tailored to their specific needs.

Barn Management

We have dedicated staff for every aspect of our enterprise so that each member of our team can concentrate their effort where it matters. Ultimately, this means our trainers have the time to adapt the program of every horse to account for every detail in their needs — be it in their diet, exercise, therapies, equipment, or anything else.

Our barn manager, Jonathan Cohen, has worked in the horse industry since he was a child and has always been an utter perfectionist. With Jonathan in charge of all the important, nitty-gritty tasks a barn needs to function efficiently and effectively every day, our clients can rest assured no miniscule detail is overlooked when it comes to their horse.

Grooming

Each of our grooms care for the same horses every day, allowing them to build relationships with and learn the quirks of their horses. They develop a keen sense for knowing when something is out of the ordinary and more attention is required. A horse's groom is almost always the person who spends the single largest amount of time with them — having happy grooms which actually care about their horses is an important aspect of Our Day Farm's success in, and reputation for, keeping horses sound and healthy.

Veterinary Care

Our strong relationship with one of the most passionate and knowledgeable equine veterinarians in the country, Jennifer Jordan, brings a very powerful medical and scientific element to Our Day Farm. Jen (as she is better known) is an integral part of the Our Day Farm team — she is genuinely interested in the well being of each horse in our care and constantly goes out of her way to make sure each one is in the best shape they can possibly be.
