Our Trainers

Our Trainers have Resumes as Extensive as their Expertise.

Our Day Farm consists of four trainers: Alex, Maggie, Charlie and Haylie; all which contribute their own strengths as horsemen to the improvement of our horses and riders. Not only is the team at Our Day experienced, but they have the record to prove their methods work. They know how to best serve their clients, because they have achieved all the same goals their clients strive for themselves. With the powerful knowledge they have gained through their own experiences, the team has developed countless horses and riders of all ages that have achieved top ranks in their divisions.

Training

We Talk the Talk

We are wholly committed to the development of our horses and riders. We pride ourselves on patience, which is key to why our students achieve consistent gains in all facets of their riding. Our clients benefit from a long term approach to their physical and psychological improvement with a team of trainers always guiding them in their performances.

and Walk the Walk.

Through our strong training program tailored to meet the needs of each horse and rider, Our Day has been home to countless national champions in hunters, jumpers, and equitation with wins at the Pennsylvania National, Washington International, National Horse Show, Winter Equestrian Festival, Global Champions Tour, Devon, and The Super League, just to name a few. Our Day Farm sets the bar as a training facility, providing our riders with amazing competition experiences both locally and internationally.

Our Day Farm is the only farm in the country that is currently sending horses to represent the United States in Nations Cups and International competitions around the world while simultaneously winning at the top hunter shows in the country. Our team of trainers create a well-rounded education that can take a rider to the top of any division. Between Alex's 40 years of experience, Charlie's international record and Maggie and Haylie's training record, Our Day has created a program that is in a league of its own.

Horse Care

Our Horses are Among the Best Cared for in the World.

Knowledge is not understanding, and we at Our Day have a core understanding of horse care. No two horses are the same, which is why we do not treat them like they are — the program of every horse in our care is tailored to their specific needs.

Barn Management

We have dedicated staff for every aspect of our enterprise so that each member of our team can concentrate their effort where it matters. Ultimately, this means our trainers have the time to adapt the program of every horse to account for every detail in their needs — be it in their diet, exercise, therapies, equipment, or anything else.

Our barn manager, Jonathan Cohen, has worked in the horse industry since he was a child and has always been an utter perfectionist. With Jonathan in charge of all the important, nitty-gritty tasks a barn needs to function efficiently and effectively every day, our clients can rest assured no miniscule detail is overlooked when it comes to their horse.

Grooming

Each of our grooms care for the same horses every day, allowing them to build relationships with and learn the quirks of their horses. They develop a keen sense for knowing when something is out of the ordinary and more attention is required. A horse's groom is almost always the person who spends the single largest amount of time with them — having happy grooms which actually care about their horses is an important aspect of Our Day Farm's success in, and reputation for, keeping horses sound and healthy.

Veterinary Care

Our strong relationship with one of the most passionate and knowledgeable equine veterinarians in the country, Jennifer Jordan, brings a very powerful medical and scientific element to Our Day Farm. Jen (as she is better known) is an integral part of the Our Day Farm team — she is genuinely interested in the well being of each horse in our care and constantly goes out of her way to make sure each one is in the best shape they can possibly be.
